Facilitating International Dialogue on Border Governance
From March 24th to 28th, 2025, Language Solutions, based in Tirana, Albania, proudly supported the visits of an Armenian Delegation to Albania on Border Governance Practices by delivering high-quality consecutive interpreting services between Russian and Albanian. The visit was part of the second phase of the “Strengthening Border Management Capacities in Armenia” project, an important initiative aimed at enhancing regional cooperation and exchange of best practices. Our contribution ensured that the high-level discussions between institutional representatives remained coherent, accurate, and culturally sensitive throughout.
Expert Interpreter Selection for Critical Meetings
Given the importance of the meetings, which involved senior representatives from key institutions such as Tirana International Airport (TIA), customs offices, and the regional police directorate, we appointed two of our most experienced interpreters specialising in Russian-Albanian communication. Their exceptional linguistic command and in-depth understanding of security and governance terminology ensured that every exchange was precise and diplomatically sound. Their professionalism helped elevate the quality of dialogue in every encounter, whether it was a formal discussion or an impromptu side meeting.
Consecutive Interpretation for the International Meetings
In this case, consecutive interpretation was employed, which involves the interpreter listening to a portion of speech, taking notes, and then delivering an accurate translation once the speaker pauses. This method ensures a clear and precise transfer of information between the Russian and Albanian languages. The interpreters employed during the visit were highly skilled in consecutive interpretation, allowing for effective communication despite the complex nature of the discussions on border governance practices.
By taking time to render each point made by the speakers accurately, the interpreters facilitated an exchange of ideas, ensuring that no detail was lost during the process. This interpretation service was provided on-site during meetings in Tirana, Pogradec, and Korça, Albania, where the Armenian delegation engaged with local officials and institutional representatives. The face-to-face nature of these meetings allowed for real-time communication and ensured that all discussions were captured with clarity and precision.
Expanding Service Beyond Tirana
The delegation’s itinerary extended beyond the capital to include visits in Korçë and Pogradec, where further coordination and interpreting support were essential. Language Solutions seamlessly handled the accommodation arrangements for the interpreters during their stay in Korçë. Our interpreters accompanied the delegation throughout the journey, maintaining the same high standard of service across all locations.
